Allowing It to Find Me

I had wanted a Native American rattle for awhile.  However, it always seemed that nothing was ever quite right.  So, I put it to the Universe that I didn’t want to look for it anymore.  I wanted it to find me.  Shortly thereafter, I arrived early to my teacher’s Shamanic Journeying group.  As far as I know, he had never offered items for sale before, but on this evening as I climbed the stairs to make my way towards the session, I saw a woman standing next to a table filled with objects he was releasing and she was holding the rattle—not “a” rattle, but “the” rattle.

My eyes grew wide as I gazed upon a glowing yellow light emanating from the head of the rattle.  It was as though it were a Spiritual flashlight.  I was keenly aware that no one else could see this Light and I was not only captivated, but being drawn into it.  Completely in tune with this vision, I then received the message that this was my rattle.  It didn’t make sense to my logical mind as it was clear this woman liked it, as well.  Since she already had it in her possession, it seemed to me that it was hers—and yet, the message continued coming in that it was mine.  I couldn’t keep my eyes off of it and only hoped that what I was hearing was indeed true.

As I waited for something to happen, I picked up a pendulum that was on the table.  I liked the way it looked and thought about buying it, but it just wasn’t meant for me.  So, after many attempts of trying to use it properly, I finally put it down.  It was this action that created the shift.  For you see, I would learn later that the woman holding the rattle actually wanted the pendulum I was holding—as it was calling to her.  As soon as I had placed the item meant for her back on the table, she returned the item meant for me.  The rattle would be mine, after all.  Needless to say, I laid claim to my new rattle and it has celebrated the Shamanic Journey space with me ever since.

Sometimes, we try so hard to manifest something, when all we really need to do is to “Let go and Let God.”  When we make our intention and allow Spirit to do its thing, we are simply creating the space for the Universe to do what it does best—create our perfect realities.

Thank you for reading and Namaste! (The Light in me recognizes the Light in you!)
