I have attached a letter below that I sent to Debbie Ford today. Debbie is an author, life coach, motiviational speaker, producer and a mom. I encourage you to try any of her books, including The Best Year of Your Life
and you will also want to see The Moses Code
by James Twyman which is produced by Debbie. Many of your favorite metaphysicians are a part of this beautiful DVD and you won't want to miss it!
The letter starts:
Dear Debbie,
I wanted to send you a note of appreciation for you and your son, Beau.
I first found your book (or rather the book found me) The Best Year of Your Life, last August in a small bookstore in San Francisco and fell in love with its message of dedicating myself to truly make this the best year of my life.
While reading this book in a cafe, a woman approached me who just finished it herself and she mentioned how much it inspired her to take it upon herself to make this year the best year of her life. The woman and I are now good friends and I wanted to thank you for unknowingly making the introduction.
Last weekend, I saw the DVD The Moses Code and found that you produced this wonderfully moving film. It had so many lessons to learn I found myself writing down several quotes from many of the speakers of this documentary.
As I was watching, a young man started to speak about his Bar Mitzvah gift. This young man was your son, Beau. I was fascinated that someone so young would be participating in this spiritual film and I looked forward to hear what he had to say. Essentially, he wanted to give back to our world's community in a big way by donating all of the proceeds from gifts he would have received from his Bar Mitzvah to an organization that helps to build schools in Uganda. These schools change the lives of children that would not normally recieve an education.
What can I say, but...WOW! While others his age might be thinking of how they could spend their money on video games at the mall, this precocious child had the presence of mind to truly change the world at the mere age of only 13.
I since looked on the website to find that the goal had been met for creating the first school and and now he was committed to raising funds for the 2nd school. Bravo, Beau!
Learning of his dedication to this worthy cause not only moved me to tears, but encouraged me to donate to this foundation, The Global Heart, myself. I wanted him to know that I am also planning to put a link with the clip of him from The Moses Code on my metaphysical blog at http://www.sereneexpressions.blogspot.com/ so that there will be another avenue for people to find your son's beautiful gift.
I thank you and I thank Beau for your dedication to uplifting the world's consciousness.
With my warmest wishes to you both...
